Envision Credit Union Recognized for Excellence in Community Service with Two Local Awards

[Tallahassee, Fla.] – Envision Credit Union is proud to announce its recent recognitions for outstanding service to the community and exceptional philanthropic service. The credit union has received two prestigious awards that highlight its significant impacts on the Big Bend region.

In honor of National Philanthropy Day on November 14, the Florida Big Bend Association of Fundraising Professionals named Envision Credit Union this year’s Outstanding Business in Philanthropy, an honor presented by the credit union’s largest philanthropic partner, Second Harvest of the Big Bend. This recognition highlights Envision’s exceptional efforts to combat food insecurity through its Envision No Hunger initiative, which has raised over $700,000 for childhood nutrition programs over the past five years. In addition to a dollar-for-dollar match on community donations, up to $30,000 annually, Envision recently contributed an additional $300,000, bringing their total donation amount to an impressive $1 million.

Envision was also recently honored with the 2024 Best Local Credit Union award, as voted by the readers of Tallahassee Magazine. This recognition celebrates Envision’s exceptional customer service, dedication to the community, and the critical role it serves in making Tallahassee a better place to live, work, and do business. The award was presented at a special event on Tuesday, November 12, where the best businesses in the region gathered to celebrate the city’s top honorees in more than 100 categories.

"At Envision, we measure success not only by the depth of our member services, but also through our investment in the community,” said Darryl Worrell, President and CEO of Envision Credit Union. “Our commitment goes beyond financial support and we are proud to roll up our sleeves and actively participate in causes that make a difference. Whether it's through team volunteer days, community outreach efforts, or direct contributions, our goal is to make a tangible impact on the lives of our neighbors and foster a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”

Envision’s deep-rooted commitment to giving back reflects the core values of its founders, five local educators who believed financial success should go hand-in-hand with a deep responsibility to the community. This dedication to philanthropy has remained central to the credit union’s mission over its 70-year history. By investing in initiatives that address pressing issues such as food insecurity and childhood nutrition, Envision continues to honor its founders’ vision of creating positive, lasting change in the communities it serves.
