[Tallahassee, Fla.] – Envision Credit Union is proud to announce the success of its 2024 ‘Coats for Kids’ campaign, with a total of 172 winter coats collected for children in need. The coats are being distributed directly to multiple schools across North Florida and South Georgia.
Since the launch of this initiative in late October, Envision has been rallying the community to drop off new coats of any size at their branch locations, or in donation boxes conveniently located at public libraries across the credit union's member service areas. The response has been overwhelming, with generous donations pouring in to ensure students have what they need to stay warm this winter.
"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this year's Coats for Kids campaign," said Kelli Walter, Vice President of Community Development at Envision Credit Union. "Coats for Kids is more than just a winter clothing drive; it’s a way to support our local students and ensure that no child has to face the cold unprepared. Proper winter clothing is essential for students to stay healthy, comfortable, and focused in school. By providing these coats, we hope to ease a significant burden for many families, particularly during the holiday season.”
Founded by educators who believed in the power of giving back, Envision Credit Union is proud to continue this tradition through a variety of community initiatives that support local students and families. Since 2022, the Coats for Kids campaign has provided hundreds of children with new winter coats. Envision would like to thank their public library partners in Leon, Gadsden, Thomas and Decatur counties who supported donation efforts for the duration of this year’s campaign.
