Envision Credit Union Awards 70 Local Teachers with Free Cruises to Celebrate 70 Years of Community

In honor of its 70th anniversary and Teacher Appreciation Week, Envision Credit Union launched an initiative to celebrate educators.

[Tallahassee, Fla.] – Envision Credit Union (Envision), a local financial institution deeply rooted in supporting education, launched an initiative in honor of its 70th anniversary and Teacher Appreciation Week to celebrate the invaluable contributions of educators within its member service areas. Established in 1954 by a group of teachers, Envision has remained steadfast in its dedication to fostering financial stability and community growth throughout North Florida and South Georgia. The "70 Cruises for 70 Years" initiative is a nod towards those who played a pivotal role in the creation of the credit union, and a heartfelt gesture of gratitude this Teacher Appreciation Week.

Envision received over 1300 nominations for educators who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their students and communities. The selection process, designed to reflect the credit union’s values and mission, incorporated both community support and the expertise of an internal selection committee. This week the five teachers who received the most overwhelming nominations from the community were surprised in person by the Envision team. On Friday, May 10, the names of all winners will be announced at Envision70.com

"We are incredibly proud to celebrate 70 years of community commitment by recognizing this group of outstanding educators who embody the same spirit of dedication and excellence that our credit union was founded upon," said Darryl Worrell, President and CEO at Envision Credit Union. "A teacher’s influence extends far beyond the classroom, touching every facet of a community. We hope our winners will take this opportunity to enjoy a much-deserved vacation before they are back at work shaping the minds of future generations.”
