November kicks off Parent Involvement Month with the Florida Department of Education. This year, DOE decided to do something different.
One of the local schools in Leon County was selected because of their success in the past year to host the kick off celebration.
On November 3rd, more than 100 people were in attendance to celebration Parent Involvement Month at Fort Braden School.
The Superintendent of Leon County Schools also shared his million book challenge with Fort Braden students. Before the day was over, Mr. Pons and Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart read a book to a group of excited 2nd and 3rd graders.
