Superintendent Jackie Pons has been on a quest to push the schools of Leon County to read a total of ONE MILLION BOOKS this school year. He announced this week that Leon County is at 950,000 books and are expected to reach the goal by May 21st. The students of Springwood Elementary had a chance to visit with Superintendent Pons as he read “This Book Just Ate My Dog”. Students also took a pledge to join the Superintendent’s Book Club and reach their Accelerated Reader Goals for the last 9weeks.
