Swipe for Schools

Showing your school spirit in record numbers!

Each swipe provides extra money to your favorite school

At Envision Credit Union, school spirit is what we're all about. Which school? All of them! Our Swipe for Schools program donates five cents to America's Second Harvest of The Big Bend's Backpack Program every time you use your Envision Visa® debit card for a purchase. That means the more members who participate, the more money we raise for our local school districts to improve the educational experience of our children.

Check out all the success we've enjoyed over the years because of members like you.

Great job Envision members! We did it AGAIN! With your help we were able to make $17,000 donations the past two school years to help feed students in North Florida and South Georgia! 2014-15 School Year Raises $10,000 for America's Second Harvest Backpack Program

Thank you, to our members who have helped raise the maximum contribution of $10,000 to make our Swipe for Schools campaign successful. Swipe for Schools allows us to donate five cents back to Leon County Schools, up to $10,000, with every swipe of an Envision Credit and Debit Card. The second year of our Swipe for Schools initiative has come to a close and was just as successful as our first. During the 2014-2015 school year we were able to donate $10,000, to America’s Second Harvest of the Big Bend to benefit the Backpack Program.

The Backpack Program assists students in the Big Bend area who receive free or reduced lunches. Through the Backpack Program, each student receives a backpack on Friday filled with food to ensure they have meals for the weekend. The backpack helps the student by reducing their mental stress and allows them to focus on their educational needs. Second Harvest also provides easy to open food and drink cans for the student, so that they can enjoy a meal even if no adult or parent is available to assist them.

Due to the continued success of our Swipe for Schools campaign, Envision Credit Union is pleased to announce that we have made a five year commitment to benefit the Backpack Program.

We are excited to kick off the 2015-2016 campaign and look forward to another successful year of supporting education. The more members that participate, the more money we raise for our local school districts to improve the educational experience of our students.

Swipe For Schools Raises $10,000 During 2013-14 School Year

Our members helped raise the maximum $10,000 last school year through the Swipe For Schools program and the money directly benefits students in Leon County. Our goal was to use the money to supply meals for students in need during the spring break vacation. We presented $9,400 to America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend to fund meals for approximately 300 students over a 10-day period. An additional $600 was spent to purchase a book for each student who benefited from the meals.

As part of Swipe For Schools, we also hosted a mascot contest and invited members to vote for their favorite Leon County school. The winner, Conley Elementary School, received a new mascot costume courtesy of Envision Credit Union.

We also were able to donate $1,000 to both the Wakulla and Gadsden County School Districts to fund similar initiatives during the school year.
